This year we will be focusing on several different types of writing to help students develop and grow into confident and well rounded writers.
This year we will cover:
Quick Writes
Quick writes are used as a literacy strategy to develop writing fluency, to build the habit of reflection into a learning experience, and to informally assess student thinking. The strategy asks learners to respond in 5–10 minutes to an open-ended question or prompt posed by the teacher.

- Creative writing
- Research writing
- Persuasive writing
